Sand Art

I decided I wanted to have a go at using coloured sand to create some new art work. This was not for any reason as such, just for the purpose of exploring new possibilities, a new medium and a new challenge! It was certainly a test of my patience, I was so eager for the colours not to blend unless I specifically wanted them to which is tough when using two mediums (PVA glue being the challenging second!) that are determined to have their own ideas just as soon as they hit the paper. However, when the colours do blend in together, they do create something wonderful in their own right. Ive achieved these results below for which im still debating about but with sand still left over theres still more opportunity to face new challenges!
